Aave (AAVE) live price dashboard
Aave is a lending protocol: you supply assets to earn interest, or borrow against collateral you have posted. This board puts AAVE beside BTC and ETH with 7-day and 30-day candles.
What is Aave?
Aave is a lending protocol: you supply assets to earn interest, or borrow against collateral you have posted. Stani Kulechov started it in 2017 as ETHLend and renamed it Aave in 2018. AAVE is the governance token, and the protocol also issues its own dollar stablecoin, GHO.
AAVE replaced the old LEND token in October 2020 at 100 LEND per AAVE. Supply is capped at 16 million: 13 million went to LEND holders and 3 million sit in an ecosystem reserve. No new AAVE is minted. When ETH falls hard, Aave is one of the places where the forced selling shows up.
With supply fixed, the lever is buybacks. The DAO started buying AAVE with protocol revenue in April 2025, and in 2026 it moved to Aavenomics 3.0, a more automatic setup that routes protocol and GHO revenue to AAVE holders without a committee signing off each round.
Aave V4 went live on Ethereum on March 30, 2026, nearly two years after it was first proposed. It splits lending into liquidity hubs and spokes, so riskier collateral can sit in its own market and still borrow from shared liquidity. V3 markets keep running on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base and other networks.

Frequently asked questions
What is the max supply of AAVE?
16 million AAVE. Thirteen million were created for the LEND to AAVE migration in 2020 and 3 million went to an ecosystem reserve that governance controls. The protocol does not mint new AAVE.
What is the difference between AAVE and GHO?
AAVE is the governance token and its price floats. GHO is a dollar stablecoin that Aave launched in July 2023: users mint it by borrowing against collateral on Aave, and the interest they pay goes to the Aave DAO.
Can I track AAVE without an account?
Yes. The AAVE board on this page runs in your browser and saves on your device. Prices come from CoinGecko. Paste a public Solana or EVM address into a watch-only Portfolio widget if you hold AAVE there.
