Uniswap (UNI) live price dashboard
Uniswap is the decentralized exchange that made the automated market maker normal on Ethereum. This board puts UNI beside BTC and ETH with 7-day and 30-day candles.
What is Uniswap?
Uniswap is the decentralized exchange that made the automated market maker normal on Ethereum. Hayden Adams launched it in November 2018, and its governance token, UNI, arrived in September 2020 with an airdrop of 400 UNI to every address that had used the protocol. It now runs on Ethereum, a long list of layer-2s and Unichain, the rollup Uniswap Labs launched in February 2025.
UNI started with 1 billion tokens: 60% for the community, the rest for the team, investors and advisors, vested over four years. Since September 2024 the contract has allowed governance to mint up to 2% more per year. Nobody has used it.
For five years UNI was a governance token and nothing else. Liquidity providers earned the trading fees and holders earned nothing. That changed in December 2025, when the UNIfication proposal passed with 99.9% of votes. On December 28, 100 million UNI were burned from the treasury, protocol fees were switched on for v2 and a set of v3 pools on Ethereum, and the Uniswap Labs interface fee went to zero. The fees now collected are used to burn more UNI.
So the number to watch has moved. Raw volume matters less than how much of it runs through pools with the fee switched on. Uniswap v4, live since January 31, 2025, adds hooks, small contracts that let a pool run its own logic such as dynamic fees. Since July 2026 v4 pools pay the protocol fee too, so their volume now feeds the burn.

What do traders watch on UNI?
- How much the fee switch earns and how much UNI it burns.
- Uniswap's share of DEX volume on Ethereum, Base and Unichain.
- Whether pools built on v4 hooks attract real liquidity.
How does Unichain feed the UNI burn?
Through its sequencer fees. Since the UNIfication vote in December 2025, Unichain's sequencer fees, after L1 data costs and a 15% share for Optimism, go to burning UNI. Unichain, the rollup Uniswap Labs launched in February 2025, has its own row on the L2 scoreboard, and the Fees column there is growthepie's gross figure (CC BY 4.0), so read it as an upper bound on what reaches the burn.

Frequently asked questions
What is the max supply of UNI?
UNI has no hard cap. The genesis supply was 1 billion, governance may mint up to 2% a year but has never done it, and the burn of 100 million UNI in December 2025 took total supply below the original billion.
Does holding UNI earn a share of Uniswap fees?
Not as a payout. The UNIfication vote in December 2025 switched on protocol fees for v2 and part of v3 on Ethereum. Votes in 2026 extended them to the rest of v3 on Ethereum, to v4 pools and to other chains including Arbitrum, Base and Robinhood Chain. Those fees are used to burn UNI, so holders gain through a smaller supply rather than a dividend.
Can I track UNI without an account?
Yes. The UNI board on this page runs in your browser and saves on your device. Prices come from CoinGecko. Paste a public Solana or EVM address into a watch-only Portfolio widget if you hold UNI there.
