Celestia (TIA) live price dashboard

Celestia is a modular blockchain built for one job, data availability: rollups post their transaction data to it and handle execution elsewhere. This board puts TIA beside BTC and ETH with 7-day and 30-day candles.

What is Celestia?

Celestia is a modular blockchain built for one job, data availability: rollups post their transaction data to it and handle execution elsewhere. Its mainnet beta launched on October 31, 2023, together with the TIA airdrop. TIA pays for blobspace and is staked to secure the network.

Mustafa Al-Bassam, Ismail Khoffi, John Adler and Nick White co-founded Celestia, which grew out of Al-Bassam's research on data availability sampling. Light nodes download random pieces of each block and can be confident the full data was published without fetching all of it. That trick is the product.

Genesis supply was 1 billion TIA, including 60 million airdropped to around 580,000 addresses. Staking rewards are paid in new TIA. The Lotus upgrade on July 28, 2025 cut inflation by a third, from about 7.2 to about 5 percent, and the v6 upgrade in November 2025 took it to roughly 2.5 percent. It keeps falling each year toward a 1.5 percent floor.

Revenue is the open problem. Blob fees have been small next to issuance, so TIA has traded more on vesting releases and sentiment than on usage. Every upgrade that makes Ethereum data cheaper adds to that pressure. And Celestia does not publish per-rollup revenue, so usage is hard to size from outside.

What do traders watch on TIA?

  • Blob fees rollups actually pay, compared with new TIA issued.
  • Governance votes on inflation, which was cut twice in 2025.
  • Competition from Ethereum blobs and rival data layers such as EigenDA and Avail.

What does Ethereum charge rollups for data?

Blob fees. The Ethereum pulse shows the blob base fee, the dollar cost of one 128 KiB blob and how full blob space is against the per-block maximum, and that is the price Celestia's blobspace competes with. Cashboard has no Celestia fee feed, so the TIA side of the comparison stays manual.

Frequently asked questions

What does data availability mean for Celestia?

It is the guarantee that a block's data was actually published so anyone can check it. Rollups post their transaction data to Celestia as blobs and pay in TIA, and light nodes confirm the data is there by sampling small random pieces.

What is the TIA inflation rate?

Roughly 2.5 percent a year after the November 2025 upgrade, down from about 7.2 percent in mid-2025. The rate shrinks by about 6.7 percent of itself each year until it reaches a 1.5 percent floor.

Can I track TIA without an account?

Yes. The TIA board on this page runs in your browser and saves on your device. Prices come from CoinGecko. Cashboard does not read Celestia wallets, so add your amount to a manual Portfolio and it is priced live.
