What is pump.fun?
pump.fun is the Solana memecoin launchpad where anyone can create a token that trades on a bonding curve before graduating to an AMM pool.
How does pump.fun work?
pump.fun went live in January 2024 and made launching a Solana token close to free and instant. Every token starts with 1 billion supply on a bonding curve. There is no presale or team allocation, and mint and freeze authority are off from the start. It stuck. Millions of tokens have come through it, and it became the default way memecoins launch on Solana.
When a curve completes, the token graduates and its liquidity moves to an AMM. Since March 2025 that AMM has been PumpSwap, pump.fun's own. Before that it was Raydium. Very few make it: the graduation rate has usually been around 1 percent of launches or lower, and most tokens stall early on the curve.
Livestreams and creator fee sharing came later, and pump.fun sold its own PUMP token in July 2025. It is the center of the trenches. Traders scan new launches minute by minute and bots fight over the first few blocks.
A made-up timeline: a token launches at 10:00. Bots own the first slice of the curve by 10:05. It is 60 percent full at 10:30 and graduates to PumpSwap at 11:00. Plenty of tokens look exactly like this at 10:30 and never move again.
Also called: Pump.fun, pumpfun, PumpSwap.
Where does pump.fun show up in Cashboard?
Launchpad radar sorts pump.fun coins by creation time in its New view, and live ones by market cap in Momentum. Each pump.fun row says whether the coin is still on its curve or has graduated. Trending on-chain then shows active Solana pools once tokens trade on an AMM. The widget's own footer says it plainly: most launchpad tokens go to zero.
