What is Sanctum Infinity?
Sanctum Infinity is one Solana pool holding many liquid staking tokens. Its INF token earns their staking yield plus the fees from LST swaps.
How does Sanctum Infinity work?
Sanctum builds liquid staking plumbing on Solana, including tools that let any project launch its own LST. Dozens did. A small one might have a single thin pool and trade under its fair value, so Infinity puts many LSTs in one pool and prices swaps between them from each token's on-chain SOL value.
Deposit into Infinity and you get INF, which is an LST too. It earns the blended staking yield of everything in the basket, plus most of the fees traders pay to swap between LSTs. Busy weeks add to the yield. Quiet weeks pay close to plain staking.
Suppose a trader wants to move from a small LST into jitoSOL. Instead of routing through two shallow pools, Infinity values both at their SOL redemption rate and takes a small fee. Most of the fee stays in the pool (Sanctum keeps a tenth), and INF's SOL value creeps up.
INF carries the risk of every LST in the basket and of Sanctum's own contracts. If one of those LSTs breaks, every INF holder shares the damage.
Also called: INF, Sanctum INF.
Where does Sanctum Infinity show up in Cashboard?
Solana yields shows INF's APY from Sanctum in the same list as jitoSOL, jupSOL, mSOL, bSOL and dSOL. It is Sanctum's average since launch, so it smooths over the busy and quiet weeks. Cashboard never deposits funds.
Frequently asked questions
How does Sanctum INF earn yield?
INF earns the staking yield of the LSTs in the Infinity pool plus most of the fees traders pay to swap between them. Both build up in the pool, so INF's value in SOL rises while your token balance stays the same.
