How to track Ethereum staking APR and Lido stETH APR
Add Cashboard's Ethereum pulse and read its Staking row. Protocol APR adds up the issuance, tips and MEV rates ultrasound.money reports, and Lido stETH APR is Lido's own 7-day average for stETH holders. Staked and Share of supply sit beside them and show how much ETH is behind both. It runs free in the browser, with no wallet and no account.
Step by step
- 1
Add the Ethereum pulse
Press Ctrl K, type ethereum and run Add Ethereum pulse (gas, blobs, burn, staking). From the Add panel, open the Ethereum group, which starts folded, and click ETH pulse. Ethereum Desk, under New from template in the Boards panel, opens with one in its top-left corner.
- 2
Stay on the Full layout
The Staking row is the last one in the Full layout. Select the widget and a Full and Compact switch appears in its header. Compact keeps gas, burn and supply and drops staking, so switch back to Full if the row is missing.
- 3
Read Protocol APR
Hover the figure and it says Issuance + tips + MEV: the three rates ultrasound.money publishes for validators, added together. The issuance part falls as more ETH is staked, because total issuance grows only with the square root of the stake. Tips and MEV rise and fall with activity on the chain.
- 4
Read Lido stETH APR
Its hover text is stETH 7-day average. Lido works the APR out from how much the stETH share rate grew at each daily rebase and averages the last 7 days, so the figure is what holders keep after Lido's 10% fee on staking rewards.
- 5
Check how much is staked
Staked is the sum of validators' effective balances from ultrasound.money, as its hover text says, and Share of supply divides it by the ETH supply in the tile above. Both move slowly, so a big jump in a day is worth a second look.
Tips
- If ultrasound.money does not answer, Staked, Share of supply and Protocol APR read n/a and Lido's figure stays. If Lido is down as well, the row says ultrasound.money and Lido did not answer.
- An APR does not compound. stETH's daily rebase does, so a holder who kept the same rate for a whole year would finish slightly ahead of the APR.
- The issuance part barely moves from day to day, since it follows the total stake. A Protocol APR that jumps between visits is mostly the tips and MEV part moving.

Frequently asked questions
Why do the protocol APR and Lido's stETH APR differ?
One reason is Lido's fee. It keeps 10% of staking rewards, shared between node operators and its treasury, and stETH's rate is what holders get after that. The windows differ too, since Lido's figure is a 7-day moving average. If Protocol APR read a hypothetical 3.00%, the fee alone would bring a Lido holder down to 2.70%.
Can I stake ETH from Cashboard?
No. Cashboard only reads public data from ultrasound.money and Lido and never asks for a wallet or a signature. Stake through Lido, another provider or your own validator, signing in your own wallet.
