Stablecoin supply and DEX volume by chain

Market flows tracks the stablecoin dollars sitting on-chain, how much trading goes on, and how much value layer 2s secure. The overview shows total stablecoin supply with its 1, 7 and 30 day change, which chains hold it, 24h DEX spot volume with the busiest venues, and the biggest layer 2s. The DEX tab splits volume by chain. The L2 capital tab, read from L2BEAT, shows value secured split into canonical, native and external, daily transactions and each chain’s 7 day change. Two gaps are stated plainly. Bridge volume is only public on DefiLlama’s paid plan, and there is no public ETF flow feed, so neither gets a stand-in number.

Frequently asked questions

Does it show Bitcoin ETF flows?

No. There is no public ETF flow feed, so Market flows has no ETF tab and Cashboard does not estimate the number.

Why is bridge data missing?

DefiLlama puts bridge volume behind its paid plan, so Market flows has no bridge tab. The L2 capital tab shows the value secured on layer 2s from L2BEAT instead, which is a different measure from bridge volume.

Why watch stablecoin supply?

New stablecoins are new dollars on-chain that can buy something. A 30 day rise in supply is a slow but fairly honest sign that money is arriving rather than leaving.
