What are DexScreener boosts?
DexScreener boosts are paid packs that lift a token's trending score on DexScreener for 12 to 24 hours. They buy visibility, not buyers.
How do DexScreener boosts work?
DexScreener sells boosts. Whoever buys a boost pack for a token gets a multiplier on that token's trending score for 12 to 24 hours, depending on the pack. The count of active boosts shows next to the token across the site, and at 500 or more the ticker turns gold, which DexScreener calls the Golden Ticker. Boosts are non-refundable, and DexScreener can remove them from a token that its moderators or outside auditors flag as malicious.
So a boost is an ad. DexScreener's own docs say boosts multiply a token's existing trending score and do not replace the on-chain and off-chain numbers behind the ranking. A boost tells you someone paid for attention in the last day or so. It tells you nothing about who is buying the token, or why.
The useful reading runs the other way. A token with hundreds of active boosts and a thin pool has someone paying to bring buyers to it. That can be a well-funded launch or a setup to sell into the crowd the ads bring in, and the boost count alone cannot tell you which.
Picture a token an hour after launch with 500 boosts, a gold ticker and $60,000 of liquidity. Everyone who arrives from DexScreener's trending list is buying into that $60,000 of depth, and the wallets that bought before the boost now have a crowd to sell into.
Also called: boosted tokens, DexScreener boost, token boosts.
Where do DexScreener boosts show up in Cashboard?
The Narratives widget has a Promoted tab with DexScreener's top boosts: up to 30 tokens, ranked by active boosts and narrowed to one chain if you pick one. Every row carries a Promoted tag, and the tab opens with a line saying a boost is advertising. Rows show a short token address and the chain instead of a name, because the boost feed has no symbol. Trending on-chain can also fall back to DexScreener boosted tokens when GeckoTerminal fails, and its footer then names the source as DexScreener boosted.
Frequently asked questions
Does a DexScreener boost mean a token is legit?
No. It means someone paid DexScreener for visibility. DexScreener can pull boosts from tokens it flags as malicious, but only after it catches them, so read a boost as an ad and check the token itself.
How long does a DexScreener boost last?
Between 12 and 24 hours, depending on the pack. The number next to a token counts its active boosts, so it falls as packs expire unless someone buys more.
