How to find trending tokens on Base
Add Trending on-chain and set the network to Base. You get the pools GeckoTerminal ranks as trending by on-chain activity, with price, 1h and 24h change, volume against liquidity and the share of trades that were buys.
Step by step
- 1
Start from Base Desk
Base Desk, one of the ten templates, opens with Trending on Base ten pools long, next to Base pulse, Base ecosystem prices and two Base launches lists for Zora and Clanker. Find it under New from template in the Boards panel.
- 2
Sort the list
Hot keeps GeckoTerminal's own order. 24h puts the biggest moves first, Volume the busiest pools, New the youngest. The list can run 5, 10, 15 or 20 pools deep.
- 3
Read Vol / Liq
This is 24h volume divided by pool liquidity. A pool that trades five times its liquidity in a day is busy and thin at once, so your own trade would move the price.
- 4
Read the flow bar
Buys / sells shows what share of the last 24 hours of trades were buys. It counts trades, not dollars, so a swarm of small buys can hide one large sell.
- 5
Watch the network
Base pulse is already on the board. Its block age, gas and live TPS tell you whether the chain itself is having a bad hour.
Tips
- Where GeckoTerminal has no feed, the fallback shows DexScreener boosted profiles. Those are paid placements, not organic volume.
- Results are cached for about a minute. A pool created 20 seconds ago may not be listed yet.
- Trending means busy, not safe. Check liquidity and the token contract before you trust a new token.
- A Clanker token a few minutes old is usually not on the trending list yet. The Clanker launches widget on the same board lists the newest ones.
