Widget · Dune query
Dune query results as a table or chart on your board
The Dune query widget draws the latest cached result of a Dune query on your board: one of five presets, or any public query you paste by number or dune.com link. It reads with your own Dune API key, and only Cashboard Desktop can hold one, encrypted on your device and sent to nobody but Dune. In the browser version the widget shows a card that opens the query on dune.com instead. Reading a result never reruns the query, but Dune bills every read in credits by its size, so Cashboard reads only the rows you choose and refreshes on its own at most every 15 minutes. Auto draws lines when the rows follow a date, bars for one label and one number up to 25 rows, and a table for everything else.
What does the Dune query widget show?
- The latest cached result of a Dune query, up to 1,000 rows
- A line chart of up to four series when rows follow a date column, or one line per category, the four largest, when rows repeat a date
- A bar chart for one label and one number, up to 25 bars
- A table of every column, with compact numbers, exact values on hover and dates in UTC
- Rows read against the total Dune holds, and how long ago Dune last finished the query
- A plain message for a rejected key, a query with no cached run, a failed or expired run and a rate limit
- The rows from the last good read, with a notice, when a refresh fails

Frequently asked questions
Does the Dune query widget work in the browser version?
No. It needs your own Dune API key, and only Cashboard Desktop can keep a key encrypted on your device. The web version stores no secrets at all, so there the widget shows a card that opens the query on dune.com.
Does reading a Dune query cost credits?
Yes. Reading a cached result does not rerun the query, but Dune charges credits by the size of the result, on whatever plan your key belongs to. Cashboard reads only the rows you pick, from 25 to 1,000, and refreshes on its own at most every 15 minutes. Press refresh within 5 minutes of the last read and you get the copy Cashboard already holds, with no new charge.
