Shiba Inu (SHIB) live price dashboard
SHIB is an ERC-20, so its crowd shows up in Ethereum pools first. The board pairs its price and candles with what is trending on Ethereum right now.
What is Shiba Inu?
Shiba Inu is a memecoin launched in August 2020 by a pseudonymous developer called Ryoshi, as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum. Around it sit the ShibaSwap exchange and Shibarium, a layer-2 that uses BONE for gas. Half of the original 1 quadrillion SHIB went to Vitalik Buterin, who burned most of it in May 2021.
SHIB started with 1 quadrillion tokens. Ryoshi locked half in a Uniswap pool and sent the other half to Vitalik Buterin. He gave about 50 trillion SHIB to an India Covid relief fund and sent roughly 410 trillion to a dead address in May 2021. That single burn still accounts for most of the gap between the original supply and today's.
Shibarium went live in August 2023 and has had a rough run. In September 2025 an attacker used a flash loan to buy 4.6 million BONE, took majority validator power and drained about $2.4 million from the bridge.
SHIB itself does very little on-chain. It trades on nearly every large exchange, and its price mostly follows retail appetite for memecoins and the wider altcoin market. Ryoshi stepped away years ago. The pseudonymous Shytoshi Kusama led the project after that, then moved to an ambassador role in January 2025.

What do traders watch on SHIB?
- The daily burn figure, which is tiny next to total supply.
- Shibarium uptime and bridge security after the 2025 exploit.
- Retail volume on exchanges and how loud SHIB is on X.
How do you catch SHIB momentum early?
By the time a memecoin shows up on a price list, the early crowd has usually moved on. Trending on-chain shows which pools are pulling volume right now, buys against sells included.

Frequently asked questions
How many SHIB tokens are there?
Roughly 589 trillion SHIB remain, down from the original 1 quadrillion. Most of the difference is the 410 trillion Vitalik Buterin burned in 2021. Community burns since then are small by comparison.
What is the difference between SHIB, BONE and LEASH?
SHIB is the main memecoin. BONE is the governance token and the gas token on Shibarium. LEASH has a supply of only about 107,000 tokens and started out as a rebase experiment.
Can I track SHIB without an account?
Yes. The SHIB board on this page runs in your browser and saves on your device. Prices come from CoinGecko. Paste a public Solana or EVM address into a watch-only Portfolio widget if you hold SHIB there.
