How to track crypto narratives and metas
Add Cashboard's Narratives widget. It ranks DexScreener's trending metas by how far each theme's market cap moved over 24 hours, and a click on a theme lists its most traded pairs. A rotation looks like a theme climbing that list while trading picks up across several of its pairs. Paid DexScreener boosts sit on a separate Promoted tab, so the boost list never mixes with the themes.
Step by step
- 1
Add Narratives
Press Ctrl K, type narratives and run Add narratives (DexScreener), or click Narratives under Markets in the Add panel. It opens on the theme list, biggest 24h market cap gain first.
- 2
Pick a ranking
Next to Rank by, 24h shows the day's rotation and 1h what moved in the last hour. Mcap puts the largest themes on top, Volume the busiest. The momentum bar on each row is scaled to the biggest move in view, so compare bars within one list, not across days. The ranking is not saved with the board and starts on 24h again after a reload.
- 3
Open a theme
Click a theme to see up to 25 of its pairs ranked by 24h volume, with price, 1h and 24h moves, market cap, volume and liquidity. The board remembers the theme you picked, and every pair links to its DexScreener page.
- 4
Filter by chain
Pick Solana, Base, Ethereum, Robinhood or HyperEVM in the chain picker at the top to narrow the pairs. The theme figures stay the same, because DexScreener reports them for all chains together.
- 5
Check who is paying
Switch to Promoted for DexScreener's top boosts on the same chain filter, ranked by active boosts. Rows show a short address and the chain instead of a name, because DexScreener's boost feed carries no symbol, so open a row on DexScreener to see the token behind it.
Tips
- A theme's market cap change is a sum. One large token can carry the whole 24h move while the rest bleed, so open the pairs before you call it a rotation.
- For a pair worth a closer look, copy the token address from its DexScreener page into a Token terminal and check holders and GeckoTerminal's safety tags before you buy.
- Keep Trending on-chain beside it for the network you trade. Narratives shows which themes are moving, Trending shows which pools are busy.
- The widget refreshes every two minutes. Themes rotate over hours, so a faster feed would mostly add noise.

Frequently asked questions
Where do the narratives in Cashboard come from?
From DexScreener's metas, token categories its moderators and community curate by hand. Cashboard reads the trending list, each theme's pairs and the top boosts from DexScreener's public API and adds no themes of its own.
How often should I check the narratives list?
As often as you trade the themes. The list moves through the day and the widget refreshes every two minutes. Rank by 1h while you are trading a theme and by 24h for the wider picture.
