Markdown notes on your trading board

A note is the plainest widget on the board and often the one that saves you money. Write the plan before the trade: entry, size, target and the price that proves you wrong. Pin it next to the chart and the position it is about, so it is right there when the trade starts going against you. Notes are written in Markdown and render as formatted text when you click away. Start a line with - [ ] and it becomes a box you can tick right on the board, which turns a pre-trade checklist into something you actually run through.

What does the Note widget show?

  • Markdown with headings, lists, quotes, code, links and emphasis
  • Checklists you can tick without opening the editor

Frequently asked questions

Are notes private?

They stay on your device with the board. A shared board link does include notes, though, so keep anything private out of boards you share.

Can I use Markdown?

Yes, the everyday parts: headings, bold and italic, lists, checklists, quotes, code and https links. Tables and strikethrough do not render, and images from most sites show as a link instead of a picture. Select the note to edit it, then press Ctrl E or Esc to see it formatted without clicking away.
