For crypto researchers and analysts

A research canvas for crypto analysts

Research falls apart when the chart is in one tool, the on-chain data in another and the reasoning in a doc nobody opens again. On a Cashboard board every widget names its source and when it last updated. Put a frame around one question, say whether BTC funding is overheating, and write the argument in a note beside the widgets that answer it.

What slows crypto researchers and analysts down?

  • A number gets pasted into a thread and nobody remembers where it came from or how old it was.
  • You spot BTC funding climbing, and the stablecoin supply that might explain it sits in a DefiLlama tab you closed an hour ago.
  • Some dashboards quietly fill a gap in the data with an estimate.
  • A screenshot of your layout is stale the minute you post it.

Which widgets fit crypto researchers and analysts?

Note

Markdown notes for the hypothesis, findings and links, placed next to the widget they are about.

Frame

Labeled sections that group widgets by question, like Funding or Stablecoins, each with a count of the widgets inside. Tidy up repacks widgets without looking at frames, so tidy first and frame after.

Perps risk

Funding dispersion for BTC, ETH and SOL across Hyperliquid, Lighter and Aster, venue-wide open interest where published, plus Jupiter Perpetuals volume. Pressure is open interest over 24h volume, a positioning proxy, not liquidation data.

Market flows

Total stablecoin supply from DefiLlama, and the value secured on layer 2s from L2BEAT. Bridge volume is not shown since DefiLlama moved it to a paid plan, and there is no ETF feed in this version.

Trending on-chain

Trending pools on Base, Solana, HyperEVM and most other supported networks. Arc has no feed yet.

Prediction markets

Polymarket and Kalshi prices for the events your research touches. Market prices, not forecasts.

Dune query

Any public Dune query as a table, line or bar chart, read with your own Dune API key. Cashboard Desktop only, and every read spends Dune credits.

L2 scoreboard

Ethereum L2s ranked by transactions, active addresses, fees or median cost, from growthepie data used under CC BY 4.0, with L2BEAT stages and value secured. The footer names the UTC day the figures cover, so a screenshot can be dated.

Frequently asked questions

Does Cashboard fill in data when a source is down?

No. A gap shows up as unavailable rather than as a guess. If a refresh fails, the last good value stays on screen until the source answers again.

Can I export a research board?

Yes. Export it as a file and import it on another machine. If a reviewer only needs to see how you laid out the argument, a share link is quicker.

Last reviewed . Market data in Cashboard comes from the providers named on each widget and may be delayed. Nothing here is financial advice.
