What is Robinhood Chain?

Robinhood Chain is Robinhood's Ethereum layer 2, built on Arbitrum for tokenized assets such as Stock Tokens. Mainnet went live on July 1, 2026.

How does Robinhood Chain work?

Robinhood announced the chain in June 2025, alongside Stock Tokens for customers in the European Union. It picked a layer 2 on Arbitrum's technology over a new layer 1, so the network settles to Ethereum and works with any EVM wallet. Fees are paid in ETH, which means a wallet holding only Stock Tokens and USDG usually needs a little ETH before it can move them. Public mainnet opened on July 1, 2026, with chain ID 4663.

The point is tokenized real-world assets, Stock Tokens first. Robinhood controls the rails for issuing and settling them but keeps them on a public chain that other apps can build on, and Uniswap is among the chain's listed ecosystem partners. A public chain does not mean every Robinhood customer can hold what is on it, though. Stock Tokens are not offered to US persons, and several other countries restrict them as well. USDG, the Global Dollar stablecoin issued by Paxos with a consortium that includes Robinhood, is one of the dollars people use on it.

It comes with the usual rollup trade-offs. Transactions are cheap, but one sequencer decides their order, and getting back to Ethereum means a bridge.

Picture a customer in Spain holding 2 NVDA Stock Tokens and 500 USDG. Both sit under one 0x address, and the Blockscout explorer for Robinhood Chain shows their transfers like on any other EVM network.

Where does Robinhood Chain show up in Cashboard?

Add Chain status for Robinhood Chain and you get block height, block age, gas price and RPC latency, and Trending on-chain lists its trending pools from GeckoTerminal. The Robinhood group in the Add panel goes further: a chain pulse with TPS, TVL and DEX volume, the chain's stock tokens with a premium over the share for the top eight, and Lighter's perps on the chain. Paste any 0x address into a watch-only portfolio and Blockscout indexes it.

Frequently asked questions

Is Robinhood Chain a layer 1 or a layer 2?

A layer 2. It runs on Arbitrum technology and settles to Ethereum. Standard EVM wallets and 0x addresses work there, and fees come out of the ETH you hold on the chain.
