NVDA stock vs tokenized NVDAx vs NVDA perp
NVDA now trades in up to three places: the exchange, on-chain as NVDAx and, where a HIP-3 market is listed, as a perp on Hyperliquid. This page lines them up. It matters most on Friday night, when the exchange shuts and the other two keep going.
What is NVIDIA?
NVIDIA designs the GPUs and data center accelerators that much of the AI industry trains and runs its models on, plus CUDA, the software layer that keeps developers on its chips. Miners knew the cards long before the AI boom: they mined Ethereum until proof of stake arrived in September 2022.
NVDA trades in three on-chain forms in 2026. NVDAx is the xStock issued by Backed, live on Solana, Ethereum, HyperEVM and eight other networks. On Hyperliquid, the HIP-3 deployer XYZ runs xyz:NVDA with up to 20x leverage. And outside the US, Robinhood sells an NVDA Stock Token on Robinhood Chain. The Tokenized stocks widget prices the first two, and the Robinhood stock tokens widget lists the third.
The weekend is where they drift apart. XYZ feeds outside NVDA prices into its oracle from Sunday 8 PM to Friday 8 PM New York time, overnight session included. After that the oracle follows the perp's own order book, and Backed stops issuing and redeeming NVDAx for the weekend. So on a Saturday the perp is the market's bet on Monday's open, and the weekend gap tag in Cashboard shows how far NVDAx sits from Friday's close.

How do you read the NVDA price gap?
The Tokenized stocks widget shows NVDA as one row with three prices. Token premium is how far NVDAx sits from the cash price. Perp basis is the same gap for the Hyperliquid perp, and funding tells you who pays to hold it. If a column shows n/a, that venue has no price for NVDA right now.
Does NVDA trade on Robinhood Chain?
Yes. On September 23, 2026, NVDA had a Robinhood Stock Token on Robinhood Chain and a perp on Lighter’s Robinhood Chain exchange. The Robinhood stock tokens widget compares the token with the cash share in basis points, adjusted for Robinhood’s share multiplier, but it prices only its top eight rows, so NVDA shows a premium only while it ranks there. Robinhood perps lists the Lighter perp, and its Funding view sets Lighter’s rate against Hyperliquid’s and Binance’s.

Is NVDAx the same as owning NVIDIA stock?
No. NVDAx is a token from Backed that tracks the NVDA price, and Backed does not offer it to US persons. You get price exposure you can hold in a wallet, not a share held in your name at a broker.
Where does the NVDA perp get its price on a Saturday?
From its own order book. XYZ uses outside prices only between Sunday 8 PM and Friday 8 PM New York time. Over the weekend the oracle drifts toward where the perp actually trades, through an exponential average with a 30 minute time constant, and switches back to outside prices once they return.
