What is Hyperliquid (HyperEVM)?
HyperEVM is the EVM side of Hyperliquid's layer 1. It runs next to HyperCore, the fully onchain order books for perps and spot, and both are secured by the same HyperBFT consensus. HYPE pays for gas.
HyperEVM went live in February 2025 with two kinds of blocks: small ones every second for everyday transactions and big ones every minute for heavy contract deployments. EIP-1559 is on, and both the base fee and the priority fee are burned, so gas spending takes HYPE out of supply.
HyperCore is where the volume is. Perps funding is paid every hour, open interest is public per market, and since HIP-3 went live in October 2025 builders can deploy their own perp markets. That is how stock perps got onto Hyperliquid. Assets move between HyperCore and HyperEVM with a single transfer, so HYPE can go from the order book into a lending market quickly.
On the EVM side people mostly stake and borrow: kHYPE from Kinetiq, lending on HyperLend and Felix, swaps on HyperSwap. Cashboard reads Hyperliquid accounts watch-only from a 0x address, including perps positions, spot balances and staked HYPE.

What do traders watch on HyperEVM?
- Funding and open interest on HyperCore perps. Funding is paid hourly, so an annualized number hides how fast it can flip.
- HYPE staking and liquid staking flows, mostly through Kinetiq.
- Transfers between HyperCore and HyperEVM, plus gas and block times on the EVM side.

Which apps run on HyperEVM?
On HyperEVM you will find Hyperliquid, Kinetiq, Felix, HyperLend and HyperSwap. In Cashboard Desktop any of them can sit on the board as a web app, logged in separately from your browser.

What is the gas token on HyperEVM?
HYPE. EIP-1559 is enabled, and both the base fee and the priority fee are burned instead of going to validators.
Is HyperEVM a separate chain from Hyperliquid?
No. HyperEVM and HyperCore are two parts of one layer 1, secured by the same HyperBFT consensus. HyperCore holds the order books, and HyperEVM runs Solidity contracts that can read from it.
What is the HyperEVM chain ID?
999, or 0x3e7 in the hex form some wallets and explorers print. Gas on HyperEVM is paid in HYPE.
Can Cashboard track HyperEVM wallets?
Not yet. HyperEVM has network status and trending pools today but no portfolio indexer, so a watch-only Portfolio set to HyperEVM cannot load balances. A manual Portfolio still works for holdings there. The HyperCore side of the same 0x address does load: Perps positions shows its perps, spot balances and staked HYPE.
