Base Wallet Tracker & Dashboard

Base wallets, trending pools and network health on one board. Paste a 0x address and Cashboard reads it through Blockscout, without asking for a signature.

What is Base?

Base is an Ethereum layer 2 incubated by Coinbase that launched on the OP Stack and in 2026 moved to its own Base-run codebase, starting with the Azul upgrade in May. It opened to the public in August 2023. Traders know it for cheap swaps, memecoins and creator coins, and since August 2026 it also hosts tokenized stocks issued by Coinbase.

Base makes a block every 2 seconds. Since July 2025 the sequencer also streams Flashblocks, partial blocks every 200 milliseconds, so wallets and bots see a swap land before the full block is sealed. A Flashblock is a strong hint, not a guarantee. A swap usually costs a fraction of a cent, plus a small charge for posting its data to Ethereum.

Coinbase orders every transaction. It could delay or censor one for a while, but users can still force a transaction in through Ethereum. Since the Azul upgrade in May 2026, withdrawals through the native bridge are backed by TEE and ZK proofs and can finalize in about a day when both agree.

Spot trading mostly runs through Aerodrome and Uniswap pools. On August 24, 2026 Coinbase started issuing tokenized US stocks on Base for customers outside the US, starting with Apple, Nvidia, Meta and Alphabet, and Aerodrome was one of the first venues to trade them.

What do traders watch on Base?

  • Fees and block times when a memecoin or creator coin run fills blocks.
  • Trending pools on Aerodrome and Uniswap, since that is where most Base tokens trade.
  • Sequencer and RPC health. Coinbase runs the only sequencer, so an outage stops every app on the chain at once.

Which Cashboard widgets are built for Base?

Two are Base's own: Base pulse and Base launches, both in the Base group of the Add panel. Base pulse reads block time and gas from the public Base RPC, prices a transfer and a swap in dollars and sets live TPS against a full-day average from L2BEAT, with TVL, spot DEX volume and stablecoin supply from DefiLlama. Base launches lists Zora coins, as New, Trending, Gainers or Top, or Clanker's newest launches, each with market cap, 24h volume and holders or liquidity. The L2 scoreboard also puts Base next to other Ethereum L2s, and Base Desk opens with Base pulse, both launch lists, Trending on Base and Base ecosystem prices.

Which apps run on Base?

On Base you will find Aerodrome, Uniswap, Morpho, Aave and Moonwell. In Cashboard Desktop any of them can sit on the board as a web app, logged in separately from your browser.

Frequently asked questions

Is Base an Ethereum layer 2?

Yes. Base posts its transaction data to Ethereum and settles there. Since the Azul upgrade in May 2026, TEE and ZK proofs back withdrawals, and a withdrawal backed by both can finalize in about a day. The standard wait through the native bridge is five days since the Beryl upgrade in June 2026.

What is the gas token on Base?

ETH. Base has no separate gas token, so you need a little ETH on Base to swap or send anything, even a stablecoin. Coinbase lets you withdraw ETH straight to the Base network.

What is the Base chain ID?

8453, or 0x2105 in the hex form some wallets and explorers print. Gas on Base is paid in ETH.

How do I watch Base wallets without connecting them?

Add a Portfolio widget, set it to watch-only, pick Base and paste the public address. Balances come from a Blockscout indexer. Nothing is signed, and share links drop the address.
