Track wallets and holdings without giving up control

Cashboard tracks money from public addresses and from numbers you type, so tracking never needs a seed phrase, a private key or a signature. Add a Portfolio, a Hyperliquid account or both, then let Net worth add them up. This page covers what each source reads, how prices and totals are computed, which networks work on the web today and what leaves your device.

Four ways to track money

Cashboard tracks money with widgets on a board: you give a widget a public address or your own numbers, and it prices what it finds. Nothing is linked to an account, and none of these widgets can move funds.

All four cards sit in the Your positions group of the Add tab. Every control and empty state is listed in the positions widget reference.

Track a wallet in three minutes

  1. 1

    Add a Portfolio widget

Open the Add tab, unfold Your positions and click Portfolio. The widget lands in the middle of your view, titled Watch-only portfolio, and is ready to use straight away.

  2. 2

    Choose the network

Pick the network in the dropdown beside the address box. It starts on Base. On the web build, read the networks table first: as of October 2026 several networks return an error there.

  3. 3

    Paste the public address

Paste it into the box. It saves as soon as it is a complete, valid address, with no Enter needed. If it belongs to the other kind of network, the widget says so and, for a Solana address on an EVM network, offers Switch to Solana. If your browser has a wallet extension, Connect browser wallet · account access only or Connect Solana wallet · account access only fills the box for you.

  4. 4

    Read the result

The total sits at the top and holdings follow, largest first. A token without a price shows n/a and stays out of the total. Hide dust is on, so holdings under $1 are folded away until you press Show.

  5. 5

    Add Net worth

When you track more than one source, add Net worth from the same group. It picks up every Portfolio and Perps widget on the board and counts each address once.

What read-only means here

Read-only means Cashboard asks only for what anyone can look up about an address. It never asks for a seed phrase or a private key, and Cashboard's own code never signs, sends or approves a transaction.

  • Connect browser wallet · account access only asks an EVM wallet for its account and its current network. Connect Solana wallet · account access only asks a Solana wallet for its public key. Your wallet shows its own connect prompt, and there is nothing to sign.
  • The buttons appear only when the page finds a wallet extension. Without one, paste the address.
  • Cashboard never asks your wallet to switch networks. When the wallet reports a network from the dropdown, the widget moves its own selection there.
  • Under the address box a line reminds you: Public address only. No seed phrase, private key or signing.
  • The Hyperliquid address box goes further. Text shaped like a private key or a recovery phrase is discarded the moment you paste it, with the message Removed: that looked like a private key or seed phrase. This widget only needs a public address.
  • On the web build, Solana lookups pass through a relay on cashboard.live that accepts four read calls (balance, token accounts, signature list and transaction lookup) and rejects everything else.

Manual portfolios

A manual portfolio is a list of coins and amounts you type. Use it for what Cashboard cannot read from a chain, such as exchange balances or a position you want to model.

  • Add a Portfolio widget and choose Manual portfolio, or press Manual in an empty Net worth widget, which adds one already in manual mode.
  • Search the 48-coin catalog (the box reads Search 48 assets or paste a CoinGecko ID). For a coin outside it, paste its CoinGecko ID, type the ticker CoinGecko shows and press Use ID.
  • Type the amount with digits and one dot, such as 0.25, and press Add. Saving a coin you already hold replaces its amount, and the button then reads Update.
  • A widget holds up to 50 coins. At the limit the editor says 50 of 50 holdings. Remove one to add another.
  • While the widget is active, each row has a pencil to edit its amount and a trash icon to remove it. Removing needs a second click.

Amounts are saved with the board on your device. No provider receives them: only the CoinGecko coin IDs go to the price source, as the editor says: Amounts stay local. CoinGecko supplies prices; no wallet address is shared.

  • Prices refresh every 15 seconds from CoinGecko. If CoinGecko does not answer, Binance can fill in for 12 large coins: AVAX, BNB, BTC, ADA, LINK, DOGE, ETH, LTC, DOT, XRP, SOL and TRX.
  • A coin with no price shows n/a, stays out of the total and is named in a strip that reads No price for X, Y · left out of the total.
  • The 24h figure applies each coin's 24h price move to the amounts you hold now, so buys, sells and transfers are not in it. When some coins have no 24h move, the widget shows how many it covers, as {covered}/{priced} assets.

Watch-only addresses

A watch-only portfolio shows the balances of one public address on one network, in US dollars. Use it to follow your own wallet or any address you want to keep an eye on. It reads and nothing more.

  • One address and one network per widget. Add another Portfolio widget for each further address. A board holds up to 500 widgets.
  • An EVM address is 0x followed by 40 hex characters. Cashboard does not check checksum casing and does not resolve ENS names. A Solana address is a base58 string of 32 to 44 characters that decodes to a 32-byte key.
  • To change the address or network later, select the widget and click it again (or press Enter) to bring the editor back. A draft that fits the newly picked network is kept, so you can paste first and choose the network second.
  • On EVM networks the widget lists the native coin and ERC-20 tokens, without NFTs. On Solana it lists SOL and the tokens from both SPL token programs. Zero balances are skipped.
  • Rows sort by Value (the default) or Name. There is no 24h sort and no change column, because these sources report no 24h move. Balances round down, so a row never shows more than the wallet holds, and the exact amount is on hover.
  • With three or more priced holdings, a strip shows the five largest and folds the rest into Other.
  • The line under the title names the source: Solana RPC · DexScreener, Blockscout, or Coinbase RPC when the desktop fallback answered.

Networks and what works today

The network dropdown lists 15 networks, and watch-only balances are defined for 12 of them: Solana and 11 EVM networks. BNB Chain, Avalanche C-Chain and HyperEVM are in the list but have no built-in provider, so choosing one ends in the error state Portfolio data is temporarily unavailable, unless you saved a matching connection on desktop.

Watch-only networks, checked on 2026-10-07. "Answers" means the hosted relay returned a reading for a test address.

On desktop

Cashboard Desktop makes the same kind of request from the app itself, so a public host that refuses requests from outside a browser can refuse it too. The way around that is a Blockscout connection: open the Connections tab, enter an API URL, an optional API key and a Chain. For Blockscout's Pro gateway the URL is https://api.blockscout.com/<chain id>, for example https://api.blockscout.com/8453 for Base.

  • One connection covers one network. Every other network keeps its public host with no key.
  • When checked on 2026-10-01, the Pro gateway served Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum One, Robinhood Chain, Polygon PoS, OP Mainnet, Scroll, ZKsync Era and Gnosis. It did not serve HyperEVM or Linea, and Arc was not checked.
  • If Blockscout fails and you saved a Coinbase RPC connection for that exact network, desktop shows the native balance only, with no price and no tokens, and the source line reads Coinbase RPC. The web build has no such fallback.
  • Setup, the Test button and the key's use in Smart money are in Blockscout. How keys are stored is in Connections.

Hyperliquid accounts

A Hyperliquid account is tracked with the Perps card, which makes a widget titled Hyperliquid positions. Paste a public 0x address into the box that reads 0x public address to watch, and it saves as soon as it is complete. The widget shows the account value and every open position with its entry, mark, liquidation price and funding. Nothing in it can sign, trade or move funds.

Perps equityHyperliquid's margin account value, added up over the main perps exchange and every builder dex with a live market, unrealized PnL included.
SpotEvery spot balance times the mid price of its pair against USDC. USDC counts as $1.
Staked HYPEDelegated, undelegated and pending-withdrawal HYPE, times the HYPE mid price against USDC.
Account valuePerps equity plus Spot plus Staked HYPE. A unified or portfolio-margin account keeps its perps collateral inside Spot, so its Account value is Spot plus Staked HYPE and Perps equity is shown inside it, not added.
  • Thin spot markets can carry a wide mid price. Treat a large spot figure as a reference, not as a mark.
  • Positions on builder-deployed markets (HIP-3, such as stock and commodity perps) are read from every builder dex with a live market and show a tag with the dex name, for example xyz. A dex that does not answer is named in an amber strip.
  • A position under 10% from its liquidation price is flagged red and counted in the header tag {n} near liq.. Under 25% it turns amber.
  • The widget reads Hyperliquid every 10 seconds and dims when its reading is older than 30 seconds. Details are in the positions widget reference.

How prices and totals are computed

A verified price in Cashboard means only that a source returned a price. Cashboard does not check how deep or real the market behind it is.

Where each price comes from
HoldingPrice sourceCounts as priced whenOtherwise
EVM native coin or ERC-20 tokenBlockscout's exchange rateBlockscout returns a raten/a, left out of the total
SOL or an SPL tokenThe DexScreener pair with the most liquidityAny pair exists, with no minimum liquidityA token with no pair is named Unverified SPL token, shows n/a and stays out of the total
Hyperliquid spot balanceHyperliquid's mid price for the token's pair against USDCThe pair existsSkipped without a flag
Manual coinCoinGecko, with Binance for 12 large coinsA quote came backn/a, left out of the total
  • Value is amount times price, worked out with exact decimals.
  • The total is the sum of the holdings that have a price. Unpriced holdings are left out and never estimated. If nothing has a price, the total reads n/a. A watch-only widget also says under the total how many holdings have no price.
  • Hide dust hides holdings worth under $1 and tokens without a price. Its badge counts what is hidden, and Show brings it back. It changes the list only: the total always counts every priced holding, hidden or not. A native coin balance with no price is never hidden.
  • For Solana, a token with any pair counts at the quote of its most liquid pair, however thin that market is. Treat a large value from a token you do not recognise with suspicion.
  • The ≈ sign marks a total built from several sources. Net worth writes its total as ≈ $…, because it adds readings from different providers.

Net worth

Net worth adds up the Portfolio and Perps widgets on the same board, and nothing else. Use it when you want one number across several wallets, manual holdings and Hyperliquid accounts.

WalletsEvery Portfolio in watch-only mode with a valid address. Only balances with a price count. A wallet with no priced balance shows n/a and adds nothing.
Manual portfoliosEvery manual Portfolio with at least one holding. It counts only once every coin in it has a price. Otherwise it is tagged not counted.
Hyperliquid accountsEvery Perps widget with an address: perps equity, spot at Hyperliquid prices and staked HYPE. For a unified or portfolio-margin account, spot and staked HYPE only, because its perps collateral is already inside spot. A missing piece is flagged, for example Spot n/a, and the rest still counts.
A source that failsWith no earlier reading, it is left out and tagged unavailable. After a good reading, the old value stays in the total with a stale tag. Nothing is estimated.
DuplicatesAn address counts once however many widgets show it, matched by network and address for wallets and by address for Hyperliquid. Manual portfolios are never merged, so two that hold the same coin add together.
The totalShown as ≈ $…, with {counted}/{candidates} sources · verified values only beneath it.
  • The switch Sources in the total has two settings. All counts everything. Ex Hyperliquid keeps the accounts listed with a left out tag, makes no Hyperliquid requests and leaves them out of the sum.
  • A bar and legend split the total into Wallets, Manual, Perps equity and HL spot & staked. From two rows on, By chain shows the split by network, with manual holdings under Manual entries. HyperEVM wallets and Hyperliquid accounts share the row Hyperliquid.
  • When a total is partial, a notice starts Partial total · and lists what is missing.
  • It reads only its own board. It keeps no history and draws no trend, subtracts no debts and applies no discount to thin tokens.

Refresh and freshness

Refresh intervals

Portfolio, manual15 seconds45 seconds: dims and shows Stale
Perps10 seconds30 seconds: dims
Net worthWallets every 60 seconds, Hyperliquid every 10, manual every 15A source whose last refresh failed shows stale
  • When a Portfolio refresh fails after a good reading, the widget keeps the old numbers and says Refresh failed · showing the reading from {age} ago.
  • Widgets scrolled out of view are not drawn and do not refresh. Net worth reads its sources itself, so it stays current while it is on screen.
  • Desktop keeps each address for 60 seconds (Hyperliquid for 5), and the hosted web relay caches EVM answers for 45 seconds. Inside those windows the refresh button can return the same reading.

Limits

  • A Portfolio widget holds one address on one network, or up to 50 manual holdings.
  • EVM networks: only the native coin and ERC-20 tokens are read, and only the first page of the token list. A wallet with a longer list is cut off without a notice. NFTs are not shown, and positions inside lending, staking or liquidity protocols appear only as far as they are tokens in the wallet.
  • Solana: at most 120 mints are priced per read, which is SOL plus the first 119 token mints the RPC returns. Up to 20 tokens without a price are listed, and the rest are counted in {n} more unpriced SPL tokens are not listed. If DexScreener does not answer, balances still load but every token comes back unpriced, so the total reads n/a and no error is shown.
  • Each request to an indexer, an RPC or Hyperliquid gives up after 12 seconds, and a DexScreener request after 10. A very busy address can run past that, and the widget then shows Portfolio data is temporarily unavailable with Try again.
  • Watch-only addresses have no 24h change, no history, no profit and loss and no cost basis. Manual portfolios show a 24h price move only.
  • ENS names are not resolved, and exchange or broker accounts cannot be read. Type those balances into a manual portfolio.

What leaves your device

A lookup cannot happen without the address, so every watch-only lookup sends it to a data provider. Which provider, and whether Cashboard's own servers sit in the path, depends on the build.

Where an address goes
SourceOn the webOn desktop
EVM watch-onlyTo a relay on cashboard.live, with the address and network in the request URL. The relay asks the network's Blockscout host. From the app's main process to the network's Blockscout host, or to your saved Blockscout URL with your key. A saved Coinbase RPC is asked only after Blockscout fails.
Solana watch-onlyTo a relay on cashboard.live, in the request body, which forwards it to a Solana RPC provider. Token mint addresses, not your address, go from your browser to DexScreener. To a public Solana RPC, api.mainnet.solana.com by default. Token mint addresses, not your address, go to DexScreener.
Hyperliquid accountStraight from your browser to api.hyperliquid.xyz.Straight from the app to api.hyperliquid.xyz.
Manual portfolioCoin IDs go to a relay on cashboard.live, which asks CoinGecko or Binance. Amounts stay put.Coin IDs go to CoinGecko or Binance. Amounts stay put.
  • Boards, with the addresses and manual amounts in them, are saved on your device: in this browser on the web, in a local database on desktop. There is no Cashboard account to sync them to.
  • Cashboard does not document how long its hosting provider keeps request logs for relay calls, and an EVM lookup carries the address in the request URL. On desktop there is no relay: the app talks to the providers directly.

Share links and exports

A share link carries your board layout in the part of the URL after #, and Cashboard blanks private fields before it builds the link. It is not a full scrub, so check what the board holds before you post one.

Removed from the linkThe address and manual holdings of every Portfolio widget, the address of every Perps widget, the wallets and labels followed in Smart money and Smart money graph, and the positions, history and realized profit of Paper trade.
Kept in the linkThe account in Swap fees, notes, widget titles, the board name, alert rules and web app URLs.
Export this boardRun it from the command palette (Ctrl K, or Cmd K on macOS). It removes nothing: the file holds addresses, manual holdings and paper positions.

Browsers do not send the part after # when they request a page. The web build does run Vercel Web Analytics for page views, though, and the page address it reports can include that part. The full flow, including what a recipient sees, is in Templates and sharing.

Frequently asked questions

Can Cashboard move money from a wallet I track?

No. A watch-only portfolio reads a public address and has no way to sign or send anything, and Cashboard's tracking never asks for a seed phrase or a private key. The web build also has Jupiter and LI.FI swap widgets, a separate feature where your own wallet signs a swap you confirm.

Why does my Base wallet show an error on cashboard.live?

As of October 2026 the hosted web build cannot read Base, Arbitrum One, Robinhood Chain, Arc, HyperEVM or Polygon PoS wallets, because the public explorer hosts it relies on refuse requests that do not come from a browser, or do not answer. Solana, Ethereum, OP Mainnet, Linea, Scroll, ZKsync Era and Gnosis answered. In Cashboard Desktop a Blockscout connection can fix this for one network.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

No. Pasting a public address is enough. The connect button appears only when your browser has a wallet extension, and it asks the wallet for the account address (and the current network on EVM), with nothing to sign. The address is saved as if you had pasted it.

Why is a token missing from my total?

It has no price. Cashboard counts only holdings for which a source returned a price and leaves the rest out rather than guess. Hide dust does not change this, because the total always counts every priced holding, including the ones it hides. For a Solana token the usual cause is that DexScreener lists no pair for it.

Does Net worth include my other boards?

No. Net worth reads only the Portfolio and Perps widgets on its own board, counts each address once and keeps no history.

Is my wallet address in a share link?

Not for Portfolio and Perps, whose addresses and manual holdings are blanked, or for Smart money and Smart money graph, whose followed wallets are removed. A share link still carries notes, widget titles and the account in Swap fees, and Export this board removes nothing, so check the board before you post it.
