Trading and signing: where your wallet is involved

Cashboard places no order for you. On the web, two embedded forms can swap tokens once you confirm in your own wallet: Jupiter's for Solana and LI.FI's for Base and Robinhood Chain. Cashboard Desktop opens jup.ag or Jumper in your browser for that step, and paper trading, alerts and the B Cash agent never place a live trade.

Documentation menu

Manual swaps and read-only tools

Cashboard holds no funds and asks for no seed phrase or private key. Market widgets read public data, and Paper trading simulates positions locally. The Agent button in the toolbar opens B Cash, whose message box reads No automatic trades: a plan only adds widgets, alerts, notes and frames. See Board Agent. No alert, paper trade or agent places a live order.

Cashboard's own widgets trade live in one way only: a swap you start yourself. On the web, Jupiter swap loads Jupiter's plugin and EVM swap shows LI.FI's form. After you pick a route and confirm, the form asks your wallet to connect and sign, and the EVM form can also ask for a token approval. A signature request on a Cashboard page can move real funds. Read the network, the token addresses, the amounts and the fees in your wallet's own prompt before you approve it.

Where your wallet is involved

The Your wallet column says what happens to your wallet in each feature. Outside the two swap forms, Cashboard's own code never asks your wallet for a signature or a transaction. The rows that say Signs show where a swap form, a trading site or your own wallet app does.

Jupiter swap on the web

On the web, Jupiter swap runs Jupiter's form inside a board card for Solana tokens. Add it from the Solana group in the Add panel, run Add Jupiter swap (trade on Solana) from the command palette (Ctrl K on Windows, Cmd K on macOS), start from the Trade Desk template, or let a Buy button add it. For Base and Robinhood Chain use EVM swap instead.

  1. 1

    Add the widget

Open the Add panel, expand Solana and click Swap. A new card starts with SOL as the input and USDC as the output.

  2. 2

    Wait for Jupiter to load

The card shows Loading Jupiter… while the script comes from plugin.jup.ag. If Jupiter cannot be reached you see Jupiter could not be reached, with Try again and a jup.ag link.

  3. 3

    Connect and choose

Connect a Solana wallet in the form, then pick tokens and an amount. Which wallets the form supports is Jupiter's decision. The form, its token list and its wording are Jupiter's and can change without a Cashboard release.

  4. 4

Review the route and the fees

Read the route, the amounts and the fees in Jupiter's form. The i button in the widget header (How to read this widget) opens a note saying Jupiter's routing and fees apply and are shown in the form before you confirm.

  5. 5

    Confirm and sign

Confirm in the form. Your wallet then asks you to sign. The swap you approve is put together by Jupiter's code, not by Cashboard, so check the amounts in your wallet's prompt. Approve or reject it there.

  • Jupiter runs one swap form per page. The first Jupiter swap widget to load takes it, and any other shows Swap is open in another widget with a Use it here button.
  • The widget's saved pair changes only when a Buy button sends it a token. A token you pick inside Jupiter's form is not saved with the widget.
  • The saved pair travels with a board, so a board someone shares with you can open its swap form on a token the author chose. The review screen lists Jupiter swap among the widget types before you press Add to my boards, and nothing from the shared board runs before that. Check the token and the amounts in Jupiter's form before you sign, as you would for any swap.
  • The plugin is third-party code: a script from Jupiter's server that runs inside the Cashboard page. Cashboard does not write, audit or control it, and cannot say what it stores or which Jupiter services it calls. See Privacy and data.

EVM swaps on Base and Robinhood Chain

EVM swap puts LI.FI's swap form on a board for Base or Robinhood Chain. Add it from the Base or Robinhood group in the Add panel with Swap, or run Add Base swap (connect an EVM wallet) or Add Robinhood Chain swap (connect an EVM wallet) from the command palette. The card is titled Base swap or Robinhood Chain swap.

  1. 1

    Wait for the form

On the web the card shows Loading swap… while the form downloads. The form starts on the chain you picked, with that chain's ETH as the token to sell. If it cannot load you see The swap could not load and an Open on Jumper button.

  2. 2

    Connect a wallet

Click Connect wallet in the form and pick a wallet. Browser wallets such as MetaMask, Rabby, Coinbase Wallet and Phantom are found on their own. QR and mobile wallets appear only when the site was built with a WalletConnect project id, which the hosted app has as of October 2026.

  3. 3

    Choose the token and amount

Pick the token to buy and an amount. The form offers only Base and Robinhood Chain. Its How to read this widget note says it routes swaps and bridges between the two, so a route can also move funds from one chain to the other.

  4. 4

Review the route and the fees

Read the route, the fees and the slippage in the form. The i button in the widget header (How to read this widget) opens a note saying they are shown before you confirm.

  5. 5

    Confirm in your wallet

Confirm in the form, then answer your wallet's prompts. Depending on the route and token, it can ask you to switch network, approve a token and send the transaction. Read each one before you approve it.

  • Who signs: your wallet, through the form. The form is LI.FI's widget library, built into Cashboard's web build, so unlike Jupiter's it is not a script fetched from the provider when the page runs. It still talks to LI.FI's servers for routes and prices, and the library is LI.FI's code, not Cashboard's. See Privacy and data.
  • Cashboard's code names no swap contract. The route comes from LI.FI, so the contracts your wallet is asked to call depend on that route. Check the network, token and amount in your wallet's prompt.
  • The widget saves the chain, the token to sell (empty means ETH) and the token to buy. They travel with the board and in saved layouts. A token you pick inside the form is not saved with the widget.
  • On desktop the form is not embedded. See Swaps on desktop. The widget reference is EVM swap.

Fees on web swaps

Jupiter's and LI.FI's own routing and fees apply to every swap in their forms, and each widget's How to read this widget note says the form shows them before you confirm. On top of that, the web build can add a Cashboard fee.

Cashboard fee in the hosted web build
FormCashboard fee, as of October 2026Notes
Jupiter swap0.5% (50 basis points)Applies to swaps made in Jupiter's form. It is collected through the referral account set in the build.
EVM swap1%Applies to swaps made in LI.FI's form. Cashboard passes the fee to the form under the name Cashboard.

Both fees are set when the site is built, so another build can charge a different fee or none. They do not apply to the Limit and DCA links, to Open on Jupiter or Open on Jumper, or to a Buy button on desktop, because those open plain jup.ag or Jumper pages with no Cashboard fee or referral attached. Whether a form shows the Cashboard fee as a line of its own is not documented here, so check the amount you will receive in the form before you sign.

Swaps on desktop

Cashboard Desktop does not embed either swap form. Both widgets hand the swap to a site in your default browser, where your wallet extension lives.

Jupiter swap shows Swaps run in your browser and an Open on Jupiter button, which opens the swap page on jup.ag. EVM swap shows the same heading and an Open on Jumper button, which opens Jumper, LI.FI's own app, on the widget's chain and tokens. You connect and sign on those sites, outside Cashboard, and Cashboard attaches no referral or fee to either link.

The Limit and DCA links in the Jupiter swap header work the same way on desktop and on the web.

Buy buttons

Buy on a supported token row prepares the matching swap: Jupiter for Solana, LI.FI for Base and Robinhood Chain. It appears on token lists and in the Activity view of Smart money graph. You choose your own amount and confirm manually. Buy does not copy a followed wallet's trade.

On Base stock tokens and Robinhood stock tokens rows, the Buy tooltip adds that these tokens are for eligible users outside the US. Cashboard does not check whether you are eligible.

The Trade Desk template

Trade Desk is a board template for trading Solana tokens from one screen. Create it from the Boards tab with New from template, or press Ctrl K on Windows or Cmd K on macOS and choose New board from template: Trade Desk.

It holds five widgets: a tall Jupiter swap down the left side, then Trending on Solana, Graduating soon, a Token terminal set to Solana and xStocks on Solana. Token rows in the trending, graduating and xStocks widgets, and the token terminal header, carry Buy buttons that load the token into the swap.

On the web the swap widget loads Jupiter's plugin as soon as it is on screen, so opening a Trade Desk board runs Jupiter's script on the page. Every swap still needs your confirmation and signature in Jupiter's form, and the template's own description says your wallet signs every swap. On desktop the left column shows Open on Jupiter and each Buy opens jup.ag. See the Trade Desk board and Templates and sharing.

The Swap fees widget

The Swap fees widget shows the unclaimed fees sitting in a Jupiter referral account. Add it from Your positions, then Swap fees. It reads public chain data, so it needs no key and no wallet, and it tracks the account you paste, not Cashboard's own. See also Swap fees.

  • Paste the referral account from referral.jup.ag into Referral account address and press Track fees.
  • Unclaimed fees is a USD total, followed by one row per fee token account with its amount and USD value. A token Jupiter has no price for counts as zero.
  • A line under the total estimates your share after Jupiter's 20% at claim. The 20% is a fixed figure written into the widget, not a value the widget reads from Jupiter.
  • Claim opens referral.jup.ag in a new tab. Cashboard claims nothing, and any claim is made on Jupiter's site.
  • The widget reads the account's token accounts over Solana RPC, both classic SPL and Token-2022, prices them with Jupiter's token search, and refreshes every 60 seconds.
  • If the account has no fee token accounts the widget shows No fee token accounts yet and asks you to create token accounts for SOL, USDC and USDT on referral.jup.ag.
  • The saved account cannot be edited. To track a different one, add another Swap fees widget.
  • The account is saved with the board and is not removed from share links. Saving to the workstation library clears it. See Templates and sharing.

Paper trading

Paper trading is a local simulation: you open and close positions at live prices with a make-believe balance, and nothing reaches an exchange or a wallet. Add it from Your positions, then Paper trade.

Starting balance$100,000. Reset paper account offers $10K, $100K or $1M.
MarketsStock for US stocks and ETFs quoted in US dollars, unlevered. A listing in another currency is blocked. Perp for Hyperliquid perpetuals, with leverage.
SidesLong and Short, on both markets.
PricesYahoo Finance for stocks, refreshed every 30 seconds. Outside regular US hours a stock quote holds at the last regular close and carries a Pre-market, After hours or Closed tag. The Hyperliquid mark price for perps, refreshed every 15 seconds.
Perp choicesThe 50 Hyperliquid perps with the highest 24 hour volume, delisted markets excluded.
SizeIn dollars to the cent, or in units up to 8 decimals. Max sizes the order to use all your available cash as margin: the dollar size is your cash times the leverage for a perp, and your cash for a stock.
LeveragePerps only: a whole number from 1x up to the lower of 50x and the market maximum that Hyperliquid allows. The default is 5x. Stocks are always 1x.
FillIn full, at the price on screen when you press the open button, which reads Open long or Open short followed by the symbol, for example Open long AAPL. That price is as old as the last refresh.
Limits50 open positions and the last 50 closed trades. Every order is its own position with no netting, so a long and a short on the same symbol can both be open.

The simulation charges no fees and applies no spread, slippage, funding payments or liquidation, so results run better than a real account would. Nothing closes a position for you, which means equity can fall below the margin in use and even below zero. The line under the widget title reads Simulation only · no real orders.

How the numbers work

  • Profit and loss is the mark price minus the entry price, times the quantity. For a short the sign flips.
  • Margin for a position is the quantity times the entry price, divided by the leverage. A stock uses its full cost.
  • Equity is the starting balance plus realized profit and loss plus unrealized profit and loss.
  • Cash is equity minus the margin in use, never below zero. A new order can draw only on it.
  • ROE is profit and loss divided by margin, so for a perp it is the price move times the leverage.
  • A position with no live price counts at its entry price and is flagged as held at entry price. Closing a position needs a live price for that market and fills at it.
  • History keeps the last 50 closed trades, and the win rate counts only those. Realized PnL counts every trade since the last reset.
  • Reset paper account asks for a starting balance, then drops open positions without booking their profit or loss, clears the history and sets realized PnL to zero. Confirm with Reset account.

The account is part of the widget's settings, so it is saved with the board: in this browser on the web, in the local database on desktop. A share link strips open positions, history and realized PnL but keeps the starting balance, and saving to the workstation library strips the same. Export this board keeps everything. See Templates and sharing.

The widget itself sends out only price lookups: the tickers you type go to Yahoo Finance, and perps read Hyperliquid's public market data. On the web, stock lookups pass through Cashboard's own server function on their way to Yahoo Finance. Your positions and balance stay in the board. The full control list is in Paper trading. Step-by-step guides: perps and stocks.

What Cashboard cannot do

Cashboard cannot place, change or cancel an order anywhere except through the swap forms you operate yourself, and it has no login for a broker or an exchange. These limits are worth knowing.

  • Place orders on Hyperliquid. Perps positions, Funding rates, Hyperliquid markets and Hyperliquid pulse read Hyperliquid's public data. Cashboard cannot open, close or change a Hyperliquid position, and Perps positions needs only a public address.
  • Place a perpetual order on Lighter or on Robinhood Chain. Robinhood perps reads marks and links to the venue. Token swaps on Robinhood Chain go through the manual EVM swap form and your own wallet.
  • Connect to a broker. There is no stock order entry and no broker login. Stocks and Paper trading use public Yahoo Finance quotes.
  • Accept broker or exchange credentials. Connections, which works in Cashboard Desktop only, holds six optional keys: CoinGecko Demo, Blockscout, Coinbase RPC and Dune for data, and Anthropic and OpenAI keys for B Cash planning. The panel warns Only provider credentials belong here. Never enter a seed phrase, wallet private key, or exchange trading secret.
  • Ask for a seed phrase or private key. No widget does. Perps positions removes pasted text that looks like one and shows Removed: that looked like a private key or seed phrase. This widget only needs a public address. Portfolio states Public address only. No seed phrase, private key or signing.
  • Act on an alert. Alerts notify you and, in the wording of the widget's How to read this widget note, They never place an order. See Alerts.
  • Copy another wallet automatically. Smart money and Smart money graph can preload a supported token through Buy, but you must choose the amount and confirm your own swap.
  • Trade through B Cash or a connected agent. A B Cash plan, or a plan an outside agent proposes over MCP, can only add widgets, alerts, notes and frames, connect them and rename an empty board. The B Cash watch reads public data and records signals. Neither signs, swaps or places an order.
  • Send a transaction on your behalf. On the web, the Solana relay that Cashboard runs for balances, wallet history and Swap fees accepts four read methods and rejects everything else, including sending a transaction.

Frequently asked questions

Can Cashboard place a trade for me?

Not by itself. No alert, paper trade or agent places a live order. You can start a swap yourself: on the web, Jupiter's form handles Solana and LI.FI's form handles Base and Robinhood Chain, and your own wallet confirms and signs. Desktop opens jup.ag or Jumper in your browser for that step.

Does clicking Buy sign or send anything?

No. It preloads a supported token in the Jupiter or LI.FI form on the web, or opens jup.ag or Jumper on desktop. You choose the amount, review the route and confirm in your wallet. Buy never copies a followed wallet's trade.

Does Cashboard ever ask for my seed phrase or private key?

No widget asks for one. The connect button in the Portfolio widget only asks your wallet for its public address and, for EVM wallets, the current network. When a swap form asks you to sign, the prompt comes from your wallet, and Cashboard's code never asks for or receives your keys.

Is paper trading connected to a real exchange?

No. Paper trading reads live prices, Yahoo Finance for stocks and Hyperliquid marks for perps, and trades only inside the widget. No wallet or account is involved. It has no fees, spread, slippage, funding or liquidation, so results look better than a real account would.

Does Cashboard take a fee on swaps?

On the web, yes, as of October 2026: the hosted app adds a Cashboard fee of 0.5% to swaps made in Jupiter's form and 1% to swaps made in the LI.FI form. Both are set when the site is built. Jupiter and LI.FI apply their own routing and fees as well, and each form shows costs before you confirm. Desktop opens jup.ag or Jumper with no Cashboard fee attached.

Can I trade on Hyperliquid or Lighter from a board?

Not through Cashboard. The Hyperliquid and Robinhood widgets read public market data, and their link icons open the venue's own page, in a new tab on the web or in a Web app widget on desktop. Any order is placed on the venue's site, never by Cashboard.
